The Majesty of Money

Humans are not perfect, and I’m not perfect, that’s why i lust for things such as being spoiled and showered with money, even though my life now is alright i still want something extreme because other people’s admiration, respect and attention is sweet tasting, but if you grow old or lose your spark after a while, the bitter taste of when people stop caring about you takes away the sweet taste of their admiration before your fall, so at the end you don’t gain or lose anything.

But they say “live for the moment,” yet even if you wish to follow that saying it’s not like money will fall into your lap from above, you’d have to work for it, and you’ll find that the fastest and easiest way is unethical, or requires from you to sacrifice something dear to you, such as family or dignity. You might say “there is no way I would do that, there’s no way I’d make that pact,” but some people do it, some people are desperate enough for money and power that they would give away their life for it if they had to.

Money sometimes can hypnotize you, own your life, and control you. The majesty of it’s power can make you forget about everything else, even your family. Before you know it you might look in the mirror and find someone else, not only that, but being rich always comes with a high price, such as losing your privacy or security. It’s shocking that even after knowing all the bad things money can bring, and how complicated and insecure life would with money, money still looks tempting. That’s the majesty of money.

It’s such a shame that people focus on the least most significant thing in the AFTERlife. In life it appears to be the most sought after thing. When we die and face God, all that money we’ve spent our lives running after, working so hard to get, doing the impossible just to have, will be worth NOTHING. It’s sad that people who are so thirsty to have more and would even kill for money, don’t realist that it’s not how rich you are with money that counts, it’s how rich you are with good deeds. This life we live in is nothing, it’s insignificant and everything in it including money is insignificant. We’re here to be tested and money and wealth is part of the test. This life is a path to the REAL thing. Why waste and lose ourselves over money? And for what? Acceptance? From whom? People??
Instead of trying so hard to get money, we should focus of being good people, even in this corrupted world, because in the end, we will regret not doing so.
